"Talk to yourself in a way that is kind and nurturing because you are listening"
- Brené Brown
Psychological Approaches
We use evidence-based psychological approaches in accordance with each individual's specific therapeutic needs. Further information on each approach can be found via the links below.

Cognitive
Behavioural Therapy
This approach is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are closely connected and influence one another. It helps clients identify and reframe distorted thoughts, promoting balanced thinking and lasting positive change. Skill-building in areas like mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness is also included to help manage intense emotions and improve daily functioning.

Motivational
Interviewing
This is a collaborative, goal-focused approach that helps individuals explore and strengthen their own motivation for change. It supports clients at any stage of readiness, encouraging positive steps forward while respecting their pace and perspective in planning, making, and maintaining changes. By meeting resistance with curiosity rather than confrontation, the process becomes more supportive and empowering.

Interpersonal
Therapy
This is a time-limited psychotherapy used to address immediate psychosocial issues focusing on interpersonal communication and relationships. It supports clients in navigating challenges like grief, conflict, life changes, and social difficulties by identifying patterns and finding healthier ways to relate to others.

Solution
Focused Therapy
This approach focuses on building solutions to psychosocial problems by developing the client's abilities in coping and problem-solving. It helps clients in exploring, defining, and visualizing their goals and collaboratively assess their strengths and weaknesses to develop more effective problem-solving strategies.
“The best way to change your feelings is to change your thoughts.”
- David Burns
Psychological Assessments
As part of the psychological services, evidence-based psychological assessments will be conducted during sessions to develop problem formulations and monitor progress. This includes screenings for depression, anxiety, and stress, all integrated into the regular course of therapy without any additional cost.
